TOP100 Hotel Brands (Greater China) List in 2024

Recently, the Meadin Academy Research released the “TOP100 Hotel Brands (Greater China) List in 2024”. Among them, Atour Hotel, Hampton, Ji Hotel, Echarm Hotel, City Comfort Inn, Lavande, HomeInn, Holiday Inn Express, InterContinental, and Borrman Hotel ranked in the top ten of the overall list.

Additionally, there are 24 new brands in this year’s top 100, including Crystal Orange, Mercure, NiHao Hotel, Maison New Century, Atour Light, Sweetome, Mehood Lestie, Grand New Century, Motel, Greentree Alliance Hotel, Elong Hotel, Vienna Classic Hotel, Jianguo Hotel, China Inn, Rezen Hotel, Manxin Hotel, Howard Johnson, TOWO Hotel, Novotel, Yitel Collection, Manju Hotel, Y.B Hotel, Grace Inn, and Hotel Indigo. The new brands are mainly mid-to-high-end brands, with seven domestic mid-to-high-end hotels and two international mid-to-high-end hotels; followed by five budget hotels; and four mid-range brands, three domestic high-end brands, and one international high-end brand.
According to the list data, the average index of the top 100 hotel brands in 2024 is 388.90, an increase of 4.48% compared to the average index in 2023. Despite the complex and changing market environment, the influence of leading brands in the hotel industry has shown a growth trend. The expansion of the market scale of mid-to-high-end hotel brands and the increase in chain rates have also brought positive impacts to the industry. It is expected that in the next few years, with the further opening of domestic and international tourism markets and the improvement of domestic consumption capacity, the influence of hotel brands will continue to maintain strong growth momentum and inject new vitality into the entire industry.

(1)Media Index (MI): The number of positive news related to brands’ keywords reported by major media, mass media, industry media, and self media over a period of time.

(2) Comment Index (CI): The accumulation relates to user reviews towards a certain brand’s opening hotels on various OTA (Online Travel Agency) websites over a period of time.

(3) Investment Index (II): Over a period of time, the franchise and development status of a certain brand in the Greater China market, including accumulative opening status, new opening status, accumulative signing status, new signing status, urban coverage density, investment owner attention, etc.
